Genuine question: How is it that the Milky Way is in the constellation Sagittarius? I thought that was a constellation within the galaxy and I haven’t been able to find a clear answer online.I think screen captures are possible with the first two. Here's another list of possibilities I found though. I know you go forward and backwards in time, but not sure 3,000 years is possible, but maybe. Is there a program to show what the stars could look like in, for example, 3000 years? I think you can do this with either Celestia or Stellarium but they've been updated since I used them years ago.Has anyone worked out what would be visible from a planet that's very distant to us? I haven't used it, but the free program Celestia is supposed to be able to do this. I think it depends on what scope do you have.Then you can use app like SkySafari on your phone/tablet to connect to your telescope/Nexus II, by doing this your telescope will be a "Push-To" not "Go-To". Nexus II has its own WiFi network, which you can connect to with your phone/tablet. You need to connect your encoders to another device, like Nexus II (which what I have) or Nexus DSC Pro. Identifying when to view planets Stellarium as suggested gives you the opportunity to see which planets are above the horizon at any given time.Each app offers different features, so in the end it's a matter of personal preference or needs.
